@Gungun Patra ?
Hey
They better recast Triss or else I'm quitting the series and will just read the books cause there was no reason to cast Triss as they did I know that this was supposed to follow the books and not the video games but she is described as unspecified skin tones, but is described as having chestnut-red hair and cornflower blue eyes.
*admin note* per guidelines, removed large chunk of comment as it derailed into race/skin tones (as pointed out, books never actually specified Triss' skin tone, making this a moot argument)
I didn't know they was doing off stuff
Can wait that movie the witcher well be magic of the world. is cool to watch.
But how Triss appeared in the 3 witcher games is NOT accurate to the book. Also in the books Triss hair is never described as red. Not once. Many times a character like geralt notices her chestnut hair but never once has there been a mention of red hair. To spell is out for you chestnut on its own is just a deep rich brown with a hint of warmth. That means its a warm brown. Chestnut does not = red. Netflix' Triss is actually closer in appearance to the Sapkowski witcher books than video game Triss. Triss was never described by Polish author as having alabaster, perfectly pale snow white skin. Nor was she described as having vivid green eyes.. people getting outraged over Triss not matching the games should probably try reading the books. The showrunners and cast of witcher made it clear they were sticking closer to books than games. So rather than complaining Triss doesn't match YOUR PERSONAL ENVISIONMENT of her, you should probably first read all of Sapkowski's witcher novels and see for yourself why the creator of the series himself said that the actress hits all the right marks. Sapkowski repeated it time and time again in his interviews: he rarely included skin color descriptions of people in his books , not to mention Sapkowski said in his mind the continent is a vast swath of land with various mixes of race and appearance, to the point that seeing someone with dark or light skin, doesn't even bare mentioning. Hence why so few characters have skin described. It just doesn't matter to people... unless your obsessively hung up on skin color in general and have it on your mind frequently.... the outlander series is a proper example of this, Claire Randall Fraser in outlander books has hazel/sherry colored eyes, in the tv show she has blue grey eyes. The actress brings Claire to life so well no one cares about the eye difference. Grow up. If the actress for Triss can act who cares if she has white, brown, olive, or even fucking green skin. It just.doesnt.matter.
Wait that movie based on book
The witcher tv show is based on the witcher book series, multiple novels by a Pilish author who has been very proactive and vocal on how he believes the witcher netflix show got his books right, more than the games did. Sapkowski always stated he thought the games were more like well written fanfic , nothing wrong with fanfic but they took a lot of cannon things from the books and changed them, such as Triss's appearance for one. Game Triss is not canon Triss.
okay
^what do u even mean
What do you think?
