So far my most favourite short story was A little sacrifice (SoD). And Something more (SoD). They stirred emotions I never thought existed.
I also enjoyed The Lesser Evil, A Question of Price, The last Wish.
Everything managed to awe me, I love these books. A Shard of Ice may have been the most.. Confusing. The whole concept of the birds and the ice queen. I don't think it's a language thing (English isn't my first language but it's not an obstacle). It's just the hidden meaning behind what they're actually saying. I think Sapkowski left us to figure out the meaning. And while I understood what the birds are for, there are a few things Yen said that were just, like, girl, talk normally.
But I find that the beauty of these books. Things are left for interpretation and I love that.
