The first season wasn't bad, it actually did his best to keep to the lore while taking some liberties. I liked the storyline about Yennefer which added to her character and helped fans connect with her early on. But then... It all went gradually upside down, There was more and more changes and less and less actual lore from the books. Character doing things that are completely OOC like Yennefer saving a nilfgardian officer from public execution. She would never do that, that's the best way to condemn herself to be executed for treason. Or Cahir suddenly being a general when he was not even a officer in the books. Or Filavandrel and Francesca romance who was out of nowhere to me. Or the Elder Blood being suddenly a component of witcher creation. And what was the point of that Voleth meir or whatever that is a demon or a Aen Elle ?
I could continue on and on about what the show did wrong but we don't have the time.
To summerise, i didn't like how the show was taking more and more liberties with the source material, often without the "we have to adapt it to media" excuse to justify them.
