Pretty excited to see that The Witcher will be remade using Unreal 5. I have not been able to play it before, but definitely look forward to playing it in the future. FYI you can go to GoG and get a free original Witcher to play before it is remade.

Hey guys, I’m totally new to the Witcher franchise & I’ve just started playing the first game on PC.
I love it so far & the universe definitely seems like something I can really get into :)
I’m going to start reading the books as well before I watch the Netflix series.
Anyways, just wanted to say hi to everyone :))
Hello everyone
So, I’ve finally reached Chapter V of The Witcher. Inside the Old Manor in the swamp, we meet Azar once again, and he conjures this horrible spider (Koshchey).
I tried to fight it like a hundred times but it always kills me. There are any tactics to defeat this monster?

I don't have any prior experience with the series but I want to play Wild Hunt. I have a PS4 and a Switch, so I can't play the older games. Should I bother watching playthroughs of them, or is it unnecessary?

In Witcher 3 there are a few references to the Blue Eyes like when Geralt is telling the story to Madame Sasha on their date. Which clearly implies that Geralt took that job in the first game.
However, given Geralts nature he would most likely pick the resolution which results in sparing the Queen of the Night and her Night Sisters and instead do battle with Patrick de Weyze which results in his death.
This is most likely because Vincent Meis was ment to appear in the 3rd game thus he did not kill him after learning he is a werewolf either.
But as it turns out in Blood and Wine Patrick de Weyze is still alive only suffers from severe Scrofula and thus cannot take part in the tourney.
So does this mean that Geralt sided with him instead of the Queen of the Night?
Well no I actually have a very good idea what really happened. But to do that I have to explain what Scrofula is.
Scrofula is a medical condition which is caused by Tuberculosis, which causes severe swelling on a persons neck due to the lymph nodes getting infected.
So what about it? Well Tuberculosis was one of the diseases attributed with giving birth to the Vampire myth. With Scrofula often being mistaken for a Vampires bite.
This obviously cannot be a coincidence, what it is, is a hidden joke from CDPR.
It's a parody of medieval beliefs where Scrofula was misdiagnosed for a Vampires bite, only here it's an actual Vampires bite misdiagnosed as Scrofula.
So what really happened?
Well after "killing" Patrick de Weyze the Queen of the Night tells Geralt that she will dispose of the bodies before he leaves. So I think what happened was that while "disposing" of the bodies they discovered that Patrick de Weyze was actually still alive. However, because the Queen of the Night is not a "monster" she couldn't bring herself to finish him off when he was defenceless. So instead she probably used her power to turn him into a "loyal patron" of her brothel and then had her Night Sisters keep him in a very weakened state so he won't be able to come after his sister again. So if anything he has got Anemia instead of Scrofula.
I’ve been thinking a rather lot about story lines in the games. And my thoughts went to Triss and Geralt. Who is to say they couldn’t have children?
In the Witcher 2, there’s a side quest where a pair of men ask Geralt to take a potion and record his experience with the effects for a year. He hired a spy to follow him for a year because he couldn’t keep a journal. Who is to say that fertility potion didn’t work? That would mean he could have Witcher babies!
And in both the books and the games it’s confirmed that Triss is alergic to magical herbs and potions. So it’s VERY possible she never got the same procedures the other sorceress’ did. Boom! And she can make babies too.
So plot for Witcher 4: you play as a pair of siblings, one having Geralt’s Witcher talents and the other having Triss’s magical talents.
I'm @The Spartan Warrior in my new account!!! the last was deleted!
Which game has the best storyline in your opinion?
I think it's the Witcher 1. It has an interesting main questline. It's just that the game is old and having problems telling us a story. So it seems dull and boring. But I don't think the story is boring and dull.
I talked to shani (the first witcher game) about the silver sword, now i gotta talk to zoltan. But i went to the inn but couldn't find him, is there a certain time that i have to go or anything i must do?
I think that Negan Jeffry Dean morgan would absolutely nail the bloody baron in the Witcher show. I think he is clearly the best choice and the show already made a lot of casting mistakes in season 1, where the actors/makeup didn’t match the appearance of the book or the game
Ps: I have waaaaayy more casting ideas if you want to see them.
