Personally on the rp style of play, for me, is do it around about the time you get brothers in arms. I’d prefer to do it earlier than that, probably before you get to Skellige so you’re not just being a typical Geralt and shagging everything in site even after locking in a romance with Yennefer, but the level is just too high to do it before. I’m guessing when you get closer to level 100 you can do a new game plus and all levels will be capped at 100 then you could do the whole story in any order you wanted. I presume?
Most watched thing on Netflix in the first four weeks of being released, ever. So bigger than stranger things. I think the series was awesome, and in all honesty I’d played Witcher 2 and completed it years ago. I bought Witcher 3 not long after it was released, started playing, got into the grind of trying to build my character up, got completely lost with the story and characters as it had been far too long since I got into the the second game so I stopped playing. Great game I just got lost. As soon as the series was released I watched it and loved it and it opened my eyes a lot to the the Witcher world and answered a lot of things I was confused with, so straight after watching it I loaded up Witcher again and now have completed it and prob guna start a new game +. I personally would much recommend watching the series then playing the game. I haven’t read the books but intend on.
Ha, shows how much I was paying attention. I thought that Yennefer did it for some unknown reason. I’m watching through it again and I’m pretty close to that bit. I’ll deffo be watching that closer this time.
I would say Skellige is more Irish than Scottish. I read somewhere a while ago (pretty sure it was in this fandom) that their looks and custom is likely derived from the Nordic-celts. Which yes was Scotland and Ireland but their accent certainly sounds Irish.
Nilfgaard on the other hand, I would say they are more Nordic? Going off accent anyway. Though there are definitely likenesses to ancient Rome
As as for the other realms, I’ve read that Redania is based on Poland because of the crest, could be true but I’m not sure of much likeness? As for the crest it is the exact same as the cap badge I wore in the British army. Named the Prussian eagle, but seeing as the writer is polish maybe it was supposed to be based on this. But the Prussian eagle is everywhere in history.
I actually think that Kaer Morhen is based on Poland.
It’s clear there is a lot of likenesses to different European countries, but cultures have been mixed.
All my opinion though.
