I greatly like and respect what you did here for the Ukrainian Witcher community but ever since stumbling on this place, there is this little question that I would like to get an answer on and you are probably the best person to give me one: why are the visuals so Nilfgaardian?
Great, thx for quick answer. By the way, I just checked your Redanian Free Company article and it is great! One question popped up in my mind though: can you link me where CDPR says they are elears or inspired by elears?
Let me answer your second question on behalf of His Royal Highness.
The source of this information is one of the writers. However this was an informal conversation via Facebook messages, and she did not work for CDPR any more at the moment, so I'm not sure I can mention her as a source. AFAIK, there are no public mentions on this from CDPR. But I guess a private mention from a writer is enough for our fandom, she stated clearly that they had wanted Olgierd's men to be called somehow, like those guys: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisowczycy, and they had searched for another cool name, taking other animals into concern. They found a Polish coat-of-arms with boar named Eberc, and voilà. (Well, I was not sure if this was really wikipedic of me to publish such information without a linkable public source, and I'm still not sure of this, but my eagerness to share this insight with the community prevailed)
Awesome, thank you very much for letting me know Dcn. I think you haven't broken any law unless His Highness has a different policy than the one applied in my dominions. Do you think maybe you could get me a screenshot of that conversation? Would love to at that piece to Official Witcher Wiki international as well but unfortunately can't without a proper reference :/
I had an impression that the lady was not quite eager to speak officially, so I'm not sure as to the screenshot.
You are absolutely right as to the lack of a proper reference. Perhaps we'd better just change the related wording in UKR to "probably" and "perhaps" (because that's something I'm sure of, but can't prove with references - a really painful condition :))
In fact the lady's name is not too difficult to guess (K. S.), you might try to contact her via FB and ask directly - she seems to be very open for Witcher geek conversations. Maybe she'll let you reference her publicly (if you call it an interview, for example - because I did not, stupid of me).
