For the character from The Hexer movie and TV series, see: Adela (witcher)

Adela was one of the three children, later known as the Houtborg triplets, born when Riannon, queen of Temeria, was imprisoned by Falka. After Falka died, none, including Riannon, who went insane, knew which of the three children were Riannon's twins and which was Falka's. The sorcerers summoned by king Goidemar found out that Adela was Falka's daughter, but they told the king that they weren't able to determine which child was Falka's, to avoid a scandal and an execution of a 2-year old child. Therefore she was brought up together with Fiona and Amavet. During an outbreak of plague she helped priests in a hospital and died from it at the age of seventeen.

Later information dug up by Fenn would suggest that Fiona was actually Falka's daughter, not Adela.
