Akerspaark (d. 1258) was king of Maecht, and the father to eleven legitimate children: five sons and six daughters.
The number of his illegitimate children is not known, but Duny claimed to be one. As Akerspaark himself was dead at the time, this could neither be confirmed nor denied, though was later proven false.[2]
Biography[]
Subjugation of Maecht[]
In the 1250s, under the rule of the Usurper, the Nilfgaardian Empire expanded and subjugated the kingdom of Maecht into the Province of Metinna, leaving the now "march" of Maecht under Akerspaark's continued rule.[3]
Death[]
In 1258, a year after Emperor Emhyr var Emreis's takeover of the Empire, Akerspaark was stabbed by hit men. He died later of acute pneumonia and was succeeded in an election by Hoët, who likely had support from Emhyr.[2]
