- Albrich, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Audio version: |
Albrich was a Nilfgaardian mage in service to Emperor Emhyr var Emreis.
Biography[]
Searching for Ciri[]
He was part of the group of mages who tried pinpoint Ciri's location for the emperor, but with no success since the distance was too far.[1]
Invasion of Aedirn[]
Albrich later took part in the invasion of Lyria and Rivia and Aedirn under the command of Duke Ardal aep Dahy. He clashed against Lyrian forces, and a certain storyteller claimed that Albrich was killed by Queen Meve herself.[2][N 1]
Following the conquest of Aedirn, Albrich travelled back to Nilfgaard where he, alongside Fringilla Vigo, took part in the celebration of the victory in the Battle of Aldersberg. Emhyr noticed the two mages and called them "lazy freeloaders" for their failure in locating Ciri.[1]
Trivia[]
- There is a gwent card with his likeness in the Nilfgaardian deck in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Footnotes[]
- ↑ Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales depicts Albrich's death rather unambiguously, with Meve piercing Albrich's aorta, but this is contradicted by Albrich being present during the celebration following the conquest of the kingdom. This inconsistency however, as most of the others within the game, can be explained by the Storyteller being an unreliable narrator.
