Aldersberg is a city in Aedirn, located south of Vengerberg and northwest of Lyria.[1]
History[]
Around the 1260s, virgin banes around Aldesberg caused cows to squirt blood from their udders while being milked, a bad omen for the Aedirnians.[1]
Second Northern War[]
In mid-July 1267, after the conquer of Lyria and Rivia at the beginning of the Second Northern War, the Nilfgaardian Army led by Field Marshal Menno Coehoorn marched on Aldersberg. King Demavend III and Queen Meve united their forces, around 5-6,000 strong, and charged at the army directly outside the city walls. The 13,000 Nilfgaardians were successful in quelling the Northerners, and Aldersberg came under Imperial occupation.[1]
Several days later, Chief Chamberlain Peter Evertsen was instructed by the Emperor to dismantle and remove the foundries and wool manufactories in the city, so as to return them to Nilfgaard.[1]
