Armed Assault is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Walkthrough[]
Head southeast of Rannvaig to the farther eastern hut of the two out here to find 3 Clan Drummond bandits trying to get the hut's owner to come out. If you approach too close the bandits will turn on you instead, so kill them off. You can then loot off one of the bodies Lugos' letter, though this won't have any bearing on the conversation with the hut's owner.
Knock on the door and the owner will come out, revealing they were Madman Lugos' men but he'll be fine now as he'll send word to Clan an Craite's jarl about what happened, though Geralt should keep low as he won't be as lucky if Lugos finds out about his involvement. The quest will then complete, giving 25 .
Journal entry[]
- Life on the Path is full of surprises. One day, a milkmaid's offering you a warm mug straight from the cow. The next, you're helping drag a merchant's wagon out of the muck. Other times, you witness thugs raiding a house. The last happened to Geralt while he was wondering across Ard Skellig.
- The bandits Geralt defeated had been sent by Madman Lugos, the eternal enemy of jarl Crach an Craite. The people living in the home they were attacking were loyal to the an Craite clan and announced they would go to their jarl for help, warning Geralt to beware Lugos' wrath before they went.
Objectives[]
- Knock on the door to check on the inhabitants of the house.
Notes[]
- Despite other similar quests where if you travel too far away the quest will fail, this one appears to let you come back later to face the bandits if you wish.
Bugs[]
- It's possible that only one bandit appears initially (the one with Lugos' letter on him), or even that you may have to walk around the hut a bit before that first bandit spawns. Since the quest doesn't appear until all three are killed, it's necessary then to meditate nearby to make the other two appear.
