Artorius Vigo was a Toussaintois mage, a master of magical arcana, a specialist in all kinds of illusion, the uncle of Fringilla Vigo[2], author of The Essence of Spells and Illusions,[3] creator of The Land of a Thousand Fables.[4]

Biography

Artorius Vigo was a mage in court of Toussaint after it became a duchy. He was one of the few people who knew about the existence of a secret passage covered by a powerful illusion in Beauclair Palace. The secret was guarded by him and some other wizards from the princely family. He was most knowledgeable of them all, as a specialist in illusion he was a respected mage. His young niece, Fringilla Vigo, inherited his talent and also became a sorceress.[2]

The following is considered game canon only and may contradict Andrzej Sapkowski's works.

In Anarietta and Syanna's childhood he created The Land of a Thousand Fables, an illusion in which young princesses played together. The incantation expired in 1252 and the Fablesphere became unstable.[4]

End of game canon content.

Notes

  • His quote is mentioned in the Ethereal bestiary entry, though the spelling is Arturius.[3]
