- Champion to Geralt, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Audio version: |
Athak Akydalv (Polish: Asiak Akydałw) was a rock troll and professional fistfighter who held the title of Champion of Champions in 1272.
Biography[]
One day, Athak appeared in the village of Hov and challenged the reigning Champion of Champions, Zama, also known as Sandylocks, to a fistfight. Zama accepted the challenge but was promptly planted face-first into the sand. However, the fights in Hov's arena were suspended indefinitely afterward due to the haunting of Ulle the Unlucky.
As an errant troll, Athak refused to share his name unless he was defeated, so he remained anonymous. Despite this, the residents of Hov had no issues with Athak's presence, as they considered him an honorable troll.
Eventually, the curse of the arena was lifted by the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, allowing the arena to be used once more. Geralt also challenged Athak to a duel, which drew much attention from the villagers. After a fierce contest, Geralt emerged victorious, prompting Athak to finally reveal his name. Despite his defeat, Athak chose to remain in Hov afterward.

Notes[]
- In the original Polish version, Athak Akydalv's name was spelled "Asiak Akydałw", which is a reverse spelling of "Kasia Władyka", the name of one of CD PROJEKT RED's quest designers.
