Basane Farm in eastern Toussaint is located on lake Mare Aubrebis' northern side, and is north of Mont Crane Castle and southwest of Dun Tynne Crossroads.

In 1275, the estate was purchased by Countess Tiphaine Baudet de Sakhor, who immediately evicted its former stewards, Hubert and Gisèle Duret.[2] However, the Duret family turned out to be lycanthropes on the brink of losing the last of their humanity.[3] This was the breaking point for Hubert and he now terrorizes the village as a werewolf.

In a twisted silver lining, werewolf Hubert also prevented Filibert Fourfingers' hanse from ransacking the farm after the eviction, while he was previously working with them.[1]

If Geralt liberates the site from the werewolf:

People return to the village, along with a barber who has small commentary on the werewolf.

Map description[]

Contrary to appearances, Toussaint does not live and die by the wine trade alone. It also exports valuable building materials and a great quantity of wool. The clover-rich slopes of Mont Crane provide sustenance to a broad variety of sheep, including the famed Toussaint merinos,[4] whose fleece fetches mind-boggling sums. Basane is one of the estates specializing in the breeding and pasturing of these remarkable beasts.

Associated quest[]

Notes[]

  • Unlike other locations in Toussaint, the sheep here respawn very quickly.[4]
  • According to a notice on Ardaiso Quarry's notice board, the Durets' eviction was not taken well by some of the common folk.
