Battering ram

The Battering Ram is a siege weapon used to break the gates of the walls of a city or fortress.

The battering ram's head is shod in iron and takes the form of a boar's or an aries' head. The device, propelled by the strength of human arms, sometimes is even mounted atop a siege tower and is designed to crush battlements and create a breach, making the assault easier.
