Disambig-icon This article is about the crafting component. For the quest, see Black Pearl (quest). For the related quest item, see Black pearl (quest item).

Black pearl is a crafting component in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but is not needed to craft anything. It can be dismantled into black pearl dust.

  • Harvesting black pearls is one way a player can exploit the game for crowns. As sea shells are very cheap, a player can buy them, have them dismantled, then sell the pearl for a profit. The tax collector mentions this as one way of exploiting taxes.
  • Even if you have some in your inventory, the Black Pearl quest will still make you meet Nidas in Skellige, dive in and retrieve one, then return to him in Novigrad to get payment.
