The Blue Knight (d. July 1267), so-called because of his glittering blue enamel suit, was a representative of the House of Varnhagen who fought Sir Sweers in the moorlands for possession of the latter's prisoner, Ciri. He was described as a giant of a man, wielding a battleaxe, astride a powerful grey stallion.[1]
Biography[]
Death[]
In July 1267, after receiving news of Sweers and the Trappers capturing Ciri and passing through Geso, the Blue Knight, accompanied by Two Tusks and two other household servants, Remiz among them, travelled from Sarda to the moorlands.
After Two Tusks killed Sweers' squire and lost his life for it, the Blue Knight and the Nilfgaardian fought on horseback until, after several blows to the helmet, the Blue Knight fell from his horse and was trampled to death.[1]
