Bronibor (d. March 1268) was a Temerian voivode, governor and member of Foltest's Royal Council. He was also the author of The Victorious Deeds of Redania's Gallant Cavalrymen.[1]
Biography[]
Second Northern War[]
In July 1267, after receiving an envoy from Emperor Emhyr var Emreis, Foltest held a council meeting to discuss Nilfgaard's advances in the Second Northern War, including details of the fall of Aedirn, and Verden's new sworn loyalty to Emhyr. Bronibor believed a full frontal assault on the Imperials at Aedirn, with support from Kaedwen and Redania would force them back beyond the Marnadal Stairs, though Foltest announced he had accepted the envoys proposition of peace.[2]
Battle of Brenna[]
During the Battle of Brenna, he led the reserve PFI forces to stop the counter-charge of the Nilfgaardian Nauzicaa and 7th Daerlan brigades. Under his command, the inexperienced infantry showed a surprising valor and managed to hold its ground against the enemy cavalry. However, Bronibor suffered severe wounds and died in the field hospital.[3]
