But Other Than That, How Did You Enjoy the Play? is a treasure hunt quest in the Blood and Wine expansion.
Walkthrough
The Seidhe Llygad Amphitheater is located south of the Palace Gardens. When you reach the place Geralt will remark that something isn't right, you will find the corpse of a woman right where the hidden treasure marker is, loot it to find a Perfume-laced journal and "Vis la Crac" Wine. Read the journal and Geralt will decide to re-enact the performance just like her. Use your witcher senses to find her footprints and Geralt will decide to follow them to find out where to start the performance. The correct location is left from her corpse, obviously since that is where the footprints end, so start by lighting the candle there and follow the footprints to the next candle. Once all the candles are lit drink the wine, however before that it's best prepare yourself with Specter oil, the wine is located among your quest items so don't bother looking among your food. After that the Phantom of the Amphitheater will appear, who can be a tough opponent if you are unprepared, it will call skeletons for aid occasionally so dispose of them fast so you don't get overwhelmed. After you defeat it search it's remains to find a Ornate necklace with a key-shaped pendant, which will open a gate located southwest behind a fallen pillar, loot the casket located inside and the quest ends. Inside you will find a Dust-covered journal among other things.
Important: Performing the play correctly on the first try will count as "Proof of Wisdom" for There Can Be Only One
Journal entry
- The witcher had made his way to the infamous ruins of the Old Amphitheatre, where - no surprise - he found the mortal remains of a young woman. Alongside them he found her beautifully scented diary.
- The ambitious would-be artiste had come here to reenact a scene performed at this very theatre by the erstwhile queen of its stage. Something had gone wrong... Geralt, no stranger to the art of mummery, decided to reenact the scene as well.
- The witcher played his role his role as the script said he must and put much heart into the performance. Yet at this ruined venue he expected no applause. And a good thing, too, because the sole spectator was a phantom, who Geralt promptly dispatched with his silver sword!
- Then as was his wont, he ferreted a bit. He found a secret nook in the prompter's box and inside the nook a not insignificant prize!

Trivia
- In the Polish (Original) version this quest is titled "A kiedy zgasły wszystkie świece..." which translates to "When all candles be out..." Which is part of the proverb by John Heywood “When all candles bee out all cattes be gray.” Which was later altered by Benjamin Franklin to "When the candles are out, all women are fair."
