The uprising within Cintra was one of the many rebellions that took place during the Second Northern War.
History
After the Nilfgaardian Empire conquered Cintra, in the spring of 1267, Duke Windhalm of Attre gathered as many men as possible and started a guerrilla war against the Nilfgaardian forces. The rebellion was however suppressed the same year: most of the rebels that remained were killed while the rest were either forced to surrender or flee in Verden. Windhalm was captured and publicly executed in Cintra.
