The coalition of northern countries was a military alliance of states situated north of rivers Nimnar and Buina which, in the early 11th century, participated in the Seven Years' War against King Vestibor of Redania.
History[]
Seizing the momentum when King Vestibor was in southern Redania busy mustering forces against Temerians who had captured Novigrad, these dominions (at least some of which were principalities[1]) conquered the valleys of the aforementioned rivers.[2]
As Vestibor didn't have the strength necessary to drive them away at the time, this remained status quo for two generations. It was Vestibor's grandson Radovid III who defeated the northern countries. He pushed even more north, establishing a firm border on the river Braa.[3]
