Dagread was the king of Kaedwen and Benda's father.
His granddaughter Elen named her only child and son, Dagorad, after him.

- In The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, he is presented as king of Kaedwen during the Kaer Morhen pogrom. This contradicts Andrzej Sapkowski's dynastic descriptions which imply that by that time Kaedwen was already ruled by his son, Benda.
