Dahut is the queen of the Merpeople.
Biography[]
Dahut's sister, Melusina, had been romantically involved with Basim, but when they realized Melusina was barren, Basim ended up marrying Dahut instead to continue the royal line. The couple eventually welcomed a daughter, Sh'eenaz. This caused Dahut and Melusina to have a strained relationship, with Melusina liking to point out Basim loved her first in front of all the merpeople while Dahut would openly remark she only put up with her sister due to her being part of the royal family, otherwise she'd have had her removed from the court.
Dahut and her husband strive to care for and protect all the creatures of the sea, which puts them at odds with the invading kingdom of Bremervoord. Though conflict looms, Sh'eenaz fell in love with Prince Agloval of Bremervoord. Though the queen and king disagree with their daughter marrying a human, they do not want to wage war against the surface.
