Drugan was a Nilfgaardian captain who was stationed alongside his company in the village of Vorune in No Man's Land (more commonly known as Velen). He and his men were terrorising the hamlet and subjugating its residents when Geralt and Vesemir passed through during their search for Yennefer. Their actions were met with Geralt's disapproval, but Vesemir was swift to remind him that such behaviour was not uncommon during periods of conflict. Nevertheless, the duo stayed in the village a while after hearing tell of a fiend that had been plaguing the local area.

The final straw came when Drugan and his company executed several of the villagers, including the boy Baltt who had aided the two witchers in their investigations. Geralt and Vesemir led Drugan and his men to the last known location of the fiend and, by way of a rare herb known to attract the creatures, baited the fiend into attacking the captain and his company. Drugan was torn apart by it whilst the witchers ruminated on how nothing forces them to stop two monsters from killing one another.
