It's kind of like a fiend, but bald and with a nose that hangs to the ground. What? No, you're making things up!

Elephants are gigantic creatures who inhabit the warmer parts of the Continent. They are characterized by tusks and enormous trunks (elongated noses) that can catch things and manipulate the environment.[1] The tusks are the source of ivory, a highly valued hard material.[2][3][4][5]

Elephants can be tamed and used by armies. A number of these animals were shipped from Ofir to Northern Realms by mercenaries after Dulla kh'Amanni's expedition.[6]

Other "elephants"

Apart from the common Far South elephant, there are other related trunked mammals living in different areas of the world and hunted for ivory. In Zerrikania, a species of elephants is rumored to be prey of giant spiders.[7] Mastodons are hairy animals known to Nordlings because of their size that roam forested areas,[3] while mammoths are covered in thick fur and adopted to Far North tundra climate.[8][9]
