After her brother was cursed and turned into a cormorant, she tried in vain to lift it, including one charlatan's idea that a shirt made of nettles would cure him. Needless to say, it did not work, but luckily Geralt was passing through and her husband was willing to pay the witcher to lift the curse. However, after it was successfully lifted, the story spread far and wide and heavily embellished certain elements, ultimately claiming her shirt did work.
In 1262, suffering from tuberculosis, which subsequently reduced her lifespan, she was not expected to live much longer.
