Ethain is the king of the coastal kingdom of Cidaris.

Biography

When the reign of his relative king Usveldt ended, the reason why prince Agloval could not take the kingdom is because he had become a merman and had married a mermaid, leaving left the only option heir to the throne, Ethain.

He also participates in the council meetings of the northern rulers. There, along with his sorceress advisor Murta, he openly discusses politics, war, and trade with the other rulers of the Northern Kingdoms.

Ethain, after the Battle of Sodden, gathered together with the Northern Kingdoms and the Brotherhood of Sorcerers for a memorial service to honor those fallen in the battle. Ethain was present when the sorceress Yennefer was about to execute the Nilfgaardian prisoner of war Cahir, but instead frees him.

Later, Ethain was summoned by Tissaia with the other kings, Foltest, Meve, Henselt and Demawend to inform them that Princess Cirilla of Cintra is alive.
