Phoenix egg is a quest item in the Blood and Wine expansion.
After you retrieve your two clues during the main quest, The Beast of Toussaint, upon returning to Anna Henrietta, she's in the process of obtaining this from a couple. After you figure out where Milton de Peyrac-Peyran is, she'll drop it and a cutscene follows. After Blood Run, you can later return to where this was dropped and pick it up for yourself.

- This item respawns infinitely (though at yet unknown triggers) and can be picked up multiple times. While farming it is likely not worth the effort, its base price allows for a tidy profit if sold to Hugo Monnart.
