Battle of Sodden was one of the many battles during the First Northern War and the first one in Sodden.[1]
History[]
In 1263, the Nilfgaardian Empire had launched a full scale invasion of the Northern Kingdoms, led by Menno Coehoorn, starting with the Battle of Marnadal and the Slaughter of Cintra.[2]
After conquering Cintra, the Nilfgaardian Army moved north into Upper Sodden, and this battle ensured with thousands of deaths, resulting in the defending northern army being soundly defeated.[2]
