Franklin Hofmeier was a halfling and the son of Bernie and Petunia. He had two sisters: Cinia and Tangerinka. They all lived together at Hirundum farm, not far from Gors Velen.[1]
Crowned by a thick mop of hair as curly as ram's fleece, Franklin was of short stature for his age.[1]

Early Life[]
In June 1267, while still a young boy, Franklin met the bard Dandelion and witcher Geralt of Rivia, when they came to the farm on a contract. He briefly attempted to explain how metal attracts lightning to Dandelion, though his father quickly grew tired of hearing it, sending him to bed.[1]
