Fuson was a shoemaker, the son of a shoemaker and the grandson of a shoemaker from Vizima. In 1268, he was arrested and put in the pillory, supposedly for "sowing defeatism". In actuality, his so-called defeatism turned out to be that he wept instead of cheering when he was made to take his son to his troop.
