Gage Findabair was an elf and Francesca's brother.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
When he was a child, his sister Francesca used a spell to rebloom a flower that reminded her of her late mother. When her hateful father caught her and tried to turn his people against her, Gage grabbed her father and Francesca killed him by the neck.
Forming alliance with Nilfgaardian[]
After the failure of Filavandrel's rebellion, his people join Francesca, who gives them hope of a safe home in Cintra. Gage occupies one of the leadership positions among the rebel elves. Together with Filavandrel he manages to capture the two sorceresses Yennefer and Fringilla. On Francesca's orders, Gage escorts Yennefer and Fringilla to a temple with runes of the Conjunction of the Spheres inscribed along the walls. Gage hears about the sorceresses' dreams of the robed figures. Then, when the altar opens and reveals a passageway, leading to the Deathless Mother's hut, Francesca promises her brother to keep watch until they return.
After the trio returned from the doorless cabin in the woods, where Francesca was approached by the Deathless Mother disguised as Ithlinne, who offered her the chance to rebuild the elven community through the birth of a pure elf, forging an alliance with Fringilla and Nilfgaard. Then all the elves including Gage left for Cintra.
Thanks to Francesca's alliance with Fringilla, she turned Xin'trea into a place of refuge for the elves with the help of Nilfgaard. In Xin'trea, Gage is in charge of welcoming new arrivals. He complains when Cahir steps forward to enter and orders him to return to the line with the others, before being interrupted by Fringilla. Later, Gage tells Filavandrel, who he was about to kill Cahir, while training the young men for the war with Nilfgaard, that the baby got ahead of him.
Revenge[]
When Francesca's baby was born, Gage was as proud of his sister as everyone else. The birth of the baby elf made the elves change their minds about fighting in the war, as they never intended to fight for Nilfgaard. When the baby is killed, (by order of the Emperor of Nilfgaard, Emhyr) Gage joined Francesca and the others to take revenge for the death of their baby to Redania, thinking that they were responsible for the murder. Francesca kills a dozen human babies with Gage at her side. After the massacre, the elves retreated into the forest, where Francesca explained that this attack was not about revenge but justice. When they receive a visit from the wizard Istredd, who was captured while spying, them learned by he that Princess Cirilla of Cintra was alive and carrying the Elder Blood.
The search for the Princess[]
According to the mage's information, all the elves joined the search for Ciri, including Gage. At the camp, Francesca orders he to gather the best men with him and go to Maribor to try find Princess Cirilla. He, like Filavandrel, does not seem to believe that the princess of Cintra is alive. Gage wants to kill all humans for what they did to his sister's daughter, when Dara arrived to report the return of Gallatin and the Scoia'tael. After raiding a human caravan for supplies, Gallatin refuses to give Gage food, but Francesca dismisses this by saying that it is shared between everyone.
Gage, Francesca and Gallatin lead the Scoia'tael commando to ambush the convoy of Yarpen Zigrin and his comrades and kidnap Ciri. A fight in the ruins of Shaerrawedd stands out in which Gage tries to grab Ciri, but is killed at the last second by Geralt. Five other Scoia'tael also die, and Francesca then mourns them, especially her brother.
