Journal entry Edit

While Alfred Nabel's most important invention failed to find broad application, it proved splendid as the basis for the Grapeshot bomb, a highly democratic explosive that wounds everyone within range, whether human or monster.
The Grapeshot is effective against nearly all creatures, except perhaps the most powerful.

Trivia Edit

  • The character of gnome Alfred Nabel is a not so subtle reference to Alfred Nobel, who invented dynamite.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Edit

Geralt can place two of these bombs in a slot at one time. Upon reaching White Orchard, the witcher has the necessary knowledge to concoct this explosive. These bombs can be used to destroy monster nests.

Grapeshot functions like a conventional grenade in combat, it deals a chunk of damage with a little fire damage. Grapeshot can also chip a considerable amount of Stamina from shield-bearing enemies in one hit.
