Griffin decoction is a potion in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Each hit received in battle will raise resistances by 1%, up to a maximum of 25%.
Successful parries or "blocks" from quen shield will not raise resistance. Damage taken per hit does not influence increase in resistance and does not influence armor.
Drinking a Griffin decotion by itself will not raise any resistance; only after you take your first hit in battle will you see your resistance increase.
