Griffin mutagen is an alchemy ingredient in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and is used to craft griffin decoction. It acts like a lesser green mutagen when placed in the diamond-shaped slots in the character panel.
Notes
- In an undocumented change for error, all mutagen icons were changed. However, there was still a bug for those on Steam and Origin that didn't reflect this and was later fixed in error. Despite this, some may still see the original icons instead, even with a fully patched game.
- While not very common there is little to no challenge in obtaining this mutagen as there is no way to skip killing the royal griffin in White Orchard, and since looting the corpse for the trophy is mandatory the mutagen would only not be obtained if done so deliberately.
