Gwent: Playing Thaler is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Walkthrough
Note: This quest is only available if Vernon Roche was played prior to completing A Deadly Plot, as he is unable to direct you to Thaler. However, if A Deadly Plot was completed prior to playing Roche, then Thaler will be played as part of Gwent: Old Pals, while this quest will be skipped.
The quest is added right after A Deadly Plot ends, and you can play Thaler right then and there. However, if you leave the area then Thaler will move to the Seven Cats Inn and you will have to meet him there for the match. Once you beat him you will earn 25
