Disambig-icon This article is about the cut-out character from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. For the member of the Tidecloaks, see Hvitr (Tidecloaks).

Hvitr was to be an albino child from Skellige that was beautiful but with minor mental disabilities.[1]

Biography

He was originally meant to be Astrid's brother instead of Skjall and was considered no ordinary child, with Yennefer suspecting he could be a Source. As Ciri had been close to Astrid, and with Astrid presumed dead from the Wild Hunt's attack, Yennefer intended to take Hvitr to the Druids' Camp to have them perform a ritual to forcibly awaken the boy's abilities to try and learn what happened to Ciri. Fearing this could cause harm to the boy, Geralt argued with the sorceress until Yennefer teleported the witcher away so as not to interrupt any further.

As Geralt rejoins them, he learns the druids went through with the ritual and had summoned the jarls and their sons as Hvitr had seen something important regarding Skellige, though more importantly for Geralt and Yennefer, he also saw that Astrid was still alive but in a coma. Hvitr then goes with Geralt and Yennefer to Freya's Garden to collect herbs to try and heal Astrid. Depending on the herbs that are picked, Astrid could either die from an incorrect mixture, or saved if the right herbs are used.
