Igor de Sade was a Kaedweni noble-born mage, or in fact student at Ban Ard Academy who wrote On the Workings and Construction of Golems, Based on the Work of Master Alzur just some minutes before he died by hands of an earth elemental (golem).[1]

- Igor de Sade's story is loosely based on Dr. Victor Frankenstein.
- His name is also a reference to Igor, Frankenstein's assistant in various movie adaptations of the story.
