The Immortals were an elite armored unit within the Ofiri army. Their name was due to the fact that, whenever a soldier was killed off or seriously injured, he was immediately replaced by a new one, thus keeping the unit always full and strong.
During the Third Northern War, a conspicuous number of Immortals, as well as war elephants, were sold to the Northern Kingdoms in order to fight against Nilfgaard.
