Imperial Academy is a Nilfgaardian university and the main academic rival for the University of Oxenfurt. Located in Castel Graupian, it was known mainly for its departments of humanities and science. It also produced many linguists and translators. The academy did not have a department of military science; for that, there was a separate military academy in the city of Nilfgaard.
Many Nilfgaardian legends, chronicles of the their kingdoms, and genealogies of their kings are kept at the academy, as well as most of their writings.[1]
History[]
In the mid 13th century, members of the academy, led by Professor Noel Ivor, began local archeological expeditions, aided by shipments of goods from Castel Graupian.[2]
Years later, Ivor and his assistant Philipp Borutt, left on an eight week expedition to the Termes Palace Ruins in Beauclair, on the hunt for Isabelle Duchamp, a fellow scholar who was from the Oxenfurt Academy, gone missing at the ruins. Only a couple days after arriving however, on the 18th of Birke, Ivor was killed by wraiths when he entered the cursed palace.[2]
