Ironware was a manufacturer and seller of ironwares. He often traveled to Cintra and owned a cart with a sign on it that read “iron hardware, manufacture and sale.”

Biography[]

In 1267, he was one of the people in attendance at Dandelion’s concert beneath Bleobheris. After Dandelion had finished his performance, he asked the guildsmen to roll out another barrel, as Dandelion—and everyone gathered—had surely become dry. When those present began discussing which parts of the poet’s ballad were true or not, Ironware remarked that one should not look for truth in a poem. He referenced his frequent visits to Cintra as evidence, explaining that according to the ballad the king and queen had a daughter, which Ironware contested. When someone clarified that the queen did indeed have a daughter named Pavetta, not Ciri, the gnome exclaimed that he had therefore been correct and that the poet had lied.

As the discussion died down and people realized that Dandelion had left, Ironware commented that it was very Dwarf-like behavior, in response to Sheldon Skaggs saying it was very elf-like.[1]
