Jackapace is a monster that looks like an armadillo. He is trained to hunt anyone where he finds them with the scent of their blood. Its sturdy, segmented shell covers the creature's back and head, allowing its wide, triangular nostrils to protrude from its snout-like face.
Rience purchased a monster handler, Veldhoek, a Jackapace, who was kept prisoner in a dungeon. Rience uses the monster to find Ciri using a vial of her blood.[3]
