Keltullis was a red dragon that nested in Mahakam during the Second Northern War.

Biography[]

For nearly a century, Keltullis fought with the dwarves of the Ferenc Clan of Mahakam, resulting in the dragon becoming weary of fighting and the dwarves realising she wasn't leaving. An agreement was formed, in which the Ferences kept the dragon supplied with his requests weekly, and in turn Keltullis left them alone, which lasted peacefully for two hundred years.[1]

In 1267, while Meve was in Mahakam with her army, she encountered the dragon at The Hag's Pit, burning the town. Meve had her soldiers douse their cloaks in water, to add a bit of protection to fire. Meve's soldiers fought her, with dozens, perhaps even hundreds of Lyrians losing their lives, either to the dragon's all-consuming fire or to its flesh-rending claws. Eventually the Lyrians and dwarves were able to mortally wound Keltullis, forcing her to flee off, howling in pain.

She headed north to her lair, and if Meve chose to follow her, she found her weak and dying inside the cave.

If Meve killed Keltullis: already awaiting her fate, Keltullis lay on the ground as Meve ended her life. Several of Meve's company seemed to object to ending the creatures life so quick.

If Meve hears her out: Keltullis complained of being poisoned, which intrigued Meve enough to hear the dragon out. It turned out Keltuillis was a female dragon, as revealed by Ferenc dwarves coming in and smashing her eggs. They had only poisoned her and smashed her eggs because they feared having to supply more dragons and face a larger threat, a move quite appreciated by Eyck of Denesle. Angered by the dwarves smashing her eggs, and not being hit with enough poison to kill, Keltillus flew to the nearest town.

If Meve follows and kills Keltullis: knowing how much of a threat the dragon posed and seeking justice for the previous massacre, Meve decided to finally kill Keltullis, with a strong cut to the stomach, ending the life of the last red dragon between the Great Sea and the Fiery Mountains.

If Meve lets Keltullis heal and leave Mahakam: angered at how the dwarves had treated the dragon, Meve allowed Keltullis to heal and leave Mahakam afterwards.
