Khagmar was, according to several myths and legends, a Higher Vampire living in Toussaint after the Conjunction of the Spheres. He had a taste for human blood and, in one night, was able to drink the blood of an entire village. His behavior has led to the commencement of hunting vampires, in which people used the help of witchers and wizards. Although only vampires can kill other vampires, the hunting became the mosquitoes to a vampire's ear. Therefore, the vampires decided to punish the false representative of their race.

They seized him and placed him in a cage in his so-called, "Place of Execution" in the dungeons of the fortress of Tesham Mutna.[1] The cage was made of silver, dalvinite, and meteorite steel, and Khagmar spent more than two hundred years in it. To increase his suffering, there were constantly cages surrounding him filled with humans, whose blood was always drawn, to keep him in an eternal state of arousal and agony.[2]
