Marcas was the son of the castellan Lazare and his late wife Éanna.[1]
Biography[]
According to his father, Marcas was more interested in women and drinking and showed little interest in politics. Around 1262, he was acting as a squire to his second cousin and the baron of Creigiau, Bryton.
Geralt met him and his friend at the ruins outside of Creigiau Castle, while the witcher was hunting a leshy, but they were attacked by werecats. Marcas' friend was killed by the werecats, as was nearly the fate of Marcas, except Geralt saved him with Igni.
If neither of his second cousins, Bryton and Anton the Younger, produced an heir, Marcas was next in line to rule Creigiau. However since he, Anton, and Lazare died, the title of successor passed to Delwyn.[1]
