Markus Braibant (d. 1268) was the commander of the 4th Cavalry Army of Nilfgaard, reporting to Field marshal Menno Coehoorn. He was responsible for sending Ola Harsheim and Dacre Silifant to suppress the uprising in Nazair. He fought and died in the Battle of Brenna. Later, an academy which bears his name will be found in the capital. He was described as a old man with a grey beard.
