Template:Character infobox Marlene de Trastamara[1] is a baron's daughter living in the Trastamara Hunting Cottage.
Since she was young, Marlene lovet to arrange parties, inviting all the people of the duchy. One day, during the umpteenth party, a beggar knocked the door of his residence with a bowl and a spoon, asking for food.
Although according the traditions of Toussaint, the owner of a house must offers food and wine to his guest, Marlene refused to feed the beggar and prefered to give the leftovers of her meal to the dogs.
The beggar then, to punish this avidity, engraved the following words on th walls of Marlene's house " None shall sit and dine with you at your table, no spoon you have shall sate you, never again shall you wish to spy your reflection in the mirror " , broke his spoon and left.
Soon after, Marlene transformed into a wight and her family, distraught over her transformation, left the cursed estate for Kovir, leaving her behind.<ref name="SoiledLetter">Soiled letter
