Metamorphosis is a mutation in the Blood and Wine expansion, which allows adding abilities from the Combat, Sign and Alchemy tree to the additional slots.

Description

• Applying critical effects to opponents activates a random decoction for 120s with no Toxicity cost. The maximum number of decoctions that can be activated simultaneously by the mutation is 3. Witcher Senses help you see better in dark places.

Tips

• There is a way to control which decoctions will be activated as the effect is dependent from which decoctions are or are not in the inventory. But if no decoctions are in the inventory, the mutation can activate any decoction that exists.
• There is also no way to extend the duration of the decoctions that are activated by this mutation. Even Adaptation which specifically is used to extend the duration of decoctions has no effect on it.
• Tissue Transmutation will provide it's vitality bonus when a decoction is activated through this mutation.
• Repeatedly casting axii on Roach is an efficient way to activate the maximum number of decoctions before entering combat, especially when done while mounted.
