The Michelet brothers were professional murderers for hire in the Redania area.
Toublanc was the "brains" of the operation, being the only one to attend temple school, and therefore the de facto leader, while the other three brothers were the "brawn".[1]
History
Contract on Geralt
In early 1267, while in hiding from their contract issued by the mayor, the three were introduced by Vilgefortz to the mage Rience, who hired them to attack an "ordinary man" for 100 crowns. Realizing something was off, Toublanc demanded 200, which Rience readily agreed to. The brothers and Rience went off to Oxenfurt after the man, Geralt, and during the fight quickly realized he was a witcher.
After Geralt incapacitated the four brothers, Philippa painlessly finished off Toublanc with a stiletto, ending the line of Michelet.[1]
Legacy
Due to their violent nature, the brother's deaths breathed a sigh of relief for many Redanians. For their autopsy, an Oxenfurt Academy physician was summoned to the port, and after examining their wounds believed that the murderer had used a scythe blade mounted upright.[2]
