Mirt is a town in Ghelibol, a region within Redania. Originally named Mirthe, it used to be the seat of power for the Brotherhood of Sorcerers, until it was razed to the ground by Falka during her rebellion.[1]

History[]

First Landing[]

In the 760s, the town was either taken over from the elves or was built by the leaders of the Chapter of the Gift and the Art, including Giambattista and Jan Bekker. They put the children from the first human settlement built through magical tests to reveal if they were Sources, and then those selected were trained at Mirthe.[1]

Falka's rebellion[]

In the 1150s, during Falka's rebellion, Mirthe was burned to the ground on her orders, and Radmir of Tor Carnedd flayed alive outside the town walls.[1]
